About Us

The 82nd Street Business Improvement District (BID is a 501 (c) 3 not- for-profit corporation located in the Historic District of Jackson Heights and Elmhurst, in the County of Queens, New York. The 82nd Street BID was created in January of 1990, with broad civic responsibilities to provide services to enhance economic development to all current and future community stockholders. The 82nd Street BID generate resources through mandatory assessments on local property owners and, with those funds deliver supplemental services, as well other services to the public at the community level designed primarily, although not exclusively, to strengthen local businesses and their communities.
